“We are the 'mysterious east’. No proof, just faith. No reason, just faith." (Train to Pakistan, Khushwant Singh).
Why has west always looked down upon east? Be it in the context of world or in India itself !

The Natraj idol at CERN.

Nataraj, depiction of Lord Shiva, the cosmic ecstatic dancer, describes mystical life of a being.
His upper right hand holds the drum, which signifies the sound of creation. The upper left hand hold the eternal fire, representing the destruction. Lower right hand is raised in the gesture of 'abhay mudra' depicting to not be afraid if one is true. Left lower hand points toward upraised foot indicating path of salvation. Snake twisted around the arm symbolises 'Kundalini Power' , which resides in our spine in dormant stage and need to be aroused if one want to attain true consciousness. This figure of Shiva dances on small dwarf which symbolises ignorance and ego of an individual. The Nataraj is surrounded by nimbus of glowing lights depicting vast unending cycles of time.
Say it our faith from which we learn great things. Because our faith is our trust , our positive attribute toward the life, which do not require any reason or proof.
Now-a-days we might have started looking westward but it is an intrinsic truth that sun rises in the east !
